HUNTER PSSA GIRLS AND BOYS SOFTBALL TRIALS

TIME:
BOYS – registration from 8:30 am for a 9.00 am start – until 1.00 pm
GIRLS – registration from 12.30 pm for a 1.00 pm start – until 3.00 pm
COST:
$10 cash (the exact amount would be appreciated) is to be paid to the Hunter convener on the day.
EQUIPMENT
- Please bring your own equipment: glove, marked 11 inch softball, favourite bat, helmet, shin pads and catchers gear and apparel. Failure to bring and wear compulsory protective equipment (e.g. shin pads) will prohibit you from trialing. All personal items should be clearly labelled to prevent loss.
- Please bring your own morning tea, lunch and refreshments. There will be no canteen available on the day.
FORMAT OF TRIAL
- Warm up and skills session.
- Positional fielding and some batting sessions are undertaken.
- Players take part in a series of simulated games.
- Final selections based on overall performances on the day.
FORMS
All students must complete the Hunter Consent Form and Permission to Play Rugby Union Consent Form, and hand to the convener on the day. Students cannot take part in the trial if these notes are not provided. They must be signed by the school Principal.
All competitors and spectators must abide by the Hunter SSA code of conduct located on the Hunter applications and forms page.
