2025 HUNTER CROSS COUNTRY INFORMATION |
| Date and Venue | The Event has been RESCHEDULED and will be held on Friday 27th JUNE at Avondale University. Entry is through qualification through Zone Carnivals. |
| Cost/Permission | All competitors are required to pay the $7 Carnival Levy to their Zone Manager on the day of competing. A Zone permission note should also be presented to the Zone Manager on the day. |
| Uniforms | All students competing are required to compete in their Zone singlet which will be distributed by the Zone Manager when students register. |
| Parking | Parking is limited at the site of the event. Upon arrival Campus Security will direct you to parking that is available on site. It is ESSENTIAL that when spectators and competitors are moving from the parking area to the competition area, THAT TRANSIT IS MADE ALONG THE ACCESS ROADS AND NO PEOPLE MOVE THROUGH THE UNIVERSITY BUILDING AREA WHERE CLASSES ARE GOING ON |
| Spectators | The spectator area is located behind the bunting that has been erected around the track area. No spectators are permitted within the areas being used for marshalling for Carnival administration. Included in this area will be Porta-Loo toilets, food and drink providers and Zone Registration/Manager area. No spectators are permitted in front of the fence in the competition area. |
| Apparel | Hunter Apparel will be on sale from the marquee parked near the entrance to the competition area, cash and card will be accepted. |
| Timing | Only multi-class events will be timed. For all other events students will receive a finish ticket that indicates their finishing position. Those students who finish in the top eight (Primary) and 12 (Secondary) will need to report to the Recording tent to get their details recorded. Only the Top 6 for Primary and 10 for Secondary qualify for the State Event, we record two extras to cater for any withdrawals that may happen post-event. |
| Qualification | For those students who qualify (6 for Primary and 10 for Secondary), they will receive a DASH Ticket with a unique code that requires registration and payment to be made as soon as practical after the event. |
| Walk of the Course | There will not be a walk of the course for this event due to time restrictions. A number of cyclists will monitor each event to ensure that each track is clear for competitors. Any competitor that runs the incorrect course for any reason will be disqualified |
| Presentations | Presentations of medals in all events will occur as soon as practical after each event if staffing restrictions allow. |
| Multi Class Athletes | All Multi-Class athletes must hold a National Classification and have their details listed on the Athletics Australia Masterlist to be eligible to compete. |
| State running Apparel | All athletes must compete in the approved Hunter shorts and singlet if they qualify for the State event. This will be available through the DASH platform when registering. |

- All students must complete the ELMPSSA Consent Form and Code of Conduct and hand to the convener on the day.
- Students cannot take part in the trial if these notes are not provided. They must be signed by the school Principal.
- All competitors and spectators must abide by the Hunter SSA code of conduct located Hunter Website.
- It is unlikely the Hunter event will be postponed because of weather conditions unless the course is dangerous to competitors, officials and spectators. Visit Hunter SSA website or the Hunter SSA Facebook page for the latest information about the event. The course may be changed at short notice in accordance with weather conditions.
